John P. Salvo, MD

Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. John P. Salvo completed is undergraduate degree from Villanova University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Dr. Salvo then graduated from Jefferson Medical College and went on to serve in the U.S. Army as a flight surgeon from 1961 to 1965. Dr. Salvo began practicing General Medicine / Emergency Medicine from 1964-1979, when he went back to do a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. He was trained in surgery and orthopaedics at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Salvo is presently Department Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery and Director of Orthopaedic Surgery Resident Training, Methodist Hospital Division, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Salvo is married, with five children and six grandchildren.
